Membership Meeting
The GSV Chamber hosted our Membership Meeting via Zoom last month. Thank you to all who attended! If you missed it and would like to see what was presented, we have a couple options for you. The Chamber visitor guides are freshly printed and ready to be distributed! If you do not receive them within the next couple of weeks, please let us know.
Facebook Live Member Showcase
For the remainder of November we will be showcasing current Members via Facebook live! If you are interested in this free marketing opportunity to showcase your business please contact Dylan Brewer ASAP at (208) 993-0672 or dylanbusinessman@gmail.com.
Once you have expressed your interest, we will schedule a time to meet with you at your place of preference. These showcases shouldn’t take more than five minutes. This is your chance to briefly show everyone what you’ve been working on (recent accomplishments, projects, employee’s, etc.). All members who participate in this will get a free Chamber sticker! We look forward to seeing you, and please let us know if you have any questions.
Holiday Passport Competition
The GSV Chamber is excited to announce our upcoming Holiday Passport Competition! The goal of the passport program is to motivate people to frequent Member businesses during the holiday season and will be launched on Friday, November 27th at the Parade of Lights. This is a MEMBERS ONLY competition! YOU determine what action is needed for a patron to earn a passport entry from your business/organization! Examples could be a visit with a small purchase, donation to a non-profit, online shopping via your website, or a phone call to learn more about your business. YOU decide! Please stay tuned for more information.
Free Facemasks
The GSV Chamber has decided to utilize ID Rebounds Grant funds to purchase face masks for our members! We ordered 12 boxes with 50 masks in each box. First come first serve! If you would like some we ask that you only take one box. All masks are available at Paulette’s. Please email Dylan if you are interested in picking some up.
If we happen to run out and members are still in need, we will discuss purchasing more. Thank you for supporting your local Chamber! We hope that this small act of kindness is helpful for you, and or your business.
Board Member Boot Camp – Nonprofit Organizations
Attention all Nonprofits! The Idaho Nonprofit Center will be hosting a free webinar on November 18th from 9:30am – 11:30am MT. Donations are encouraged.
This program is designed to help support organizations and their board by outlining what their roles, tasks, and responsibilities truly are. All interested organizations please register here: Board Member Boot Camp.
Polly Bemis Zoom Lecture
Please mark your calendars for this zoom lecture by Dr. Priscilla Wegars (University of Idaho) about Polly Bemis. Wegars recently published a book about the life of Polly Bemis (image below). There are currently 24 copies for sale—please stay tuned for more information on how to purchase.
The lecture is scheduled for Thursday, November 12th, at 7:00 PM. Please refer to the login information provided below to attend. You can expect the lecture to last about 30-40 minutes with ample time for questions afterwards. Donations are encouraged. Please mail all donations to the Lemhi County Museum (210 Main St), or email Hope Benedict.
