2021 Annual Membership Meeting
The GSV Chamber hosted their Membership Meeting last month. Thank you to all who attended! If you missed it and would like to know what was presented, please keep reading. We will also be sending out a survey to our members with information from the meeting as well. We truly value every members input, so please keep your eyes peeled for the survey.
Accomplishments within Past Year:
- Gained 26 new members since last October – Previous year was 19
- Retained and promoted for 116 Total Members – Previous year was 90
- Continually improving strategies for social media promotion and tracking
- Hold seat on Housing Committee board – working towards finding a solution to provide affordable housing
- Collaborated on ad in Official Idaho Travel Guide with Stanley & Challis Chambers & LCEDA
- Installed brochure mount outside visitors center
- Designed and printed three different Visitor Guide editions
- Continue emailing monthly newsletters to members
- Purchased new laptop through ID Rebounds Cash Grant
- Upgraded Quickbooks Desktop to Quickbooks Online
- Upgraded our online event calendar software
- Created collaborative promotional video of Salmon with Sacajawea Center & Adventure Crew through Lewis & Clark National Historic Trail Experience website
- Retained part time employee for three years.
- Continue to staff visitors center 10 hours/week year round
- Executive Director continues to call into/attend City Council and County Commissioners meetings
- Facebook member showcases
- Held second board election in March where we gained three new board members (Jessica Henroid, Esther England, Will Rasmussen)
- Retained partnership with Rotary Club to judge Parade of Lights & 4th of July parade together
- Organized first ever Salmon River Days Chamber Concert! HUGE SUCCESS!
- Joni & Olivia Harms & Muzzie Braun played @ Sweet Water Hollow
- ~300 attendees
- Total SRD’s Revenue = ~ $15,500
- KSRA Call-a-thon – fireworks, concert, etc. = ~$9,800
- Total Profit from concert = ~$5,700
- Total SRD’s PROFIT w/ expenses included = ~ $7,500
- THANK YOU sponsors!
- Supported SRD’s in myriad of other ways (created SRD’s events poster, Recorder Herald ads, VOV, helped with parade (judging), 4th of July Fireworks show, etc.)
- Sponsored other community events through Idaho Travel Council grant.
