Moving Forward Together
We are striving to do our best to support our Members and our community through the COVID-19 crisis. As situations evolve, we will continue to adapt in whatever way that we can. Please know that we appreciate all of you and your collective efforts to make safe and sound decisions.
The Chamber office continues to remain closed. As Idaho begins to reopen, we will do our best to keep everyone safe and informed. Staff continues to work remotely from home under regular business hours (10am-3pm Tuesday & Wednesday) and is available via email info@salmonvalleychamber.com or by calling (208) 742-1800.
The GSV Chamber has been working hard to provide important, up-to-date information and resources to our Members and community during these tough times. We hope that these resources are helpful.
ID Rebound Cash Grants
Governor Brad Little announced plans yesterday for more than 30,000 Idaho small businesses to receive Idaho Rebound cash grants, a $300 million investment in Idaho’s small business employers. These Cash grants of up to $10,000 will be available to small businesses.
Your business is eligible if the business has not already received an SBA-backed Payroll Protection loan or received less than $10,000 in such a loan.
- The Idaho State Tax Commission will facilitate the applications.
- The business must create a Taxpayer Access Point (TAP) account through the Tax Commission if they do not already have one. Businesses are encouraged to create a TAP account as soon as possible.
- Applications will be accepted starting May 11.
- All individual grants will be reported on Transparent.Idaho.Gov
US Chamber Grant
Businesses are eligible for a $5,000 grant for the US Chamber of Commerce Foundation if:
- They are located in economically vulnerable communities (Lemhi County qualifies),
- And the business has between 3 and 20 employees,
- And the business can certify that the business does not have sufficient assets, insurance, or other resources to recover from losses due to the COVID-19 pandemic
Applications opened Monday, April 20th. Grants will be awarded weekly, on a rolling basis, based on available funds. Speed in applying matters. Get put on a list to be reminded when applications open here.
Check the grant overview and frequently asked questions at the Save Small Business site, put up by the US Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
Paycheck Protection Program
The PPP Resumed on April 27th, 2020. This program includes provisions for partial forgiveness of loans – essentially turning portions of the loan into a grant that does not have to be repaid. For more information on the PPP please click the button below.
Small Business Development Center

They exist specifically to help Idaho’s small businesses, and now is the time to be proactive about making plans for how to work through this economic challenge. Take advantage of the free help!
