The Visitors Center continues to serve the public. However, hours are limited and face masks are required to enter the building. This requirement ensures the safety of our fellow patrons and staff. Masks will be provided for people who do not have them. The Visitors Center is open Monday’s from 11:00am – 3:00pm, Wednesday’s and Saturday’s from 12:00 – 3:00pm, Thursday’s from 10:00am – 4:00pm (printing available) and Friday’s from 1:00 – 3:00pm. Appointments can be made for other times by calling the office at (208) 742-1800 or emailing info@salmonvalleychamber.com

Idaho Travel Council Grant

The GSV Chamber was recently awarded ~$2,000 through the ITC Grant! These funds can be utilized to support community events that bring visitors to Lemhi County. We wanted to share this information with all of you since we now have some extra funding to support local events. Please contact us for more information on this opportunity. 

Fall/Winter Visitor Guides Deadline

Our visitor guides are currently in the design process for our Fall/Winter version. We’re hoping to have them printed by the beginning of October! To ensure that we’re including the correct information regarding your membership, please look over your business profile in our online directory. The deadline for all modifications is Monday, September 15th. After this date we will not accept any requests for changes. Please email us for all requests.

Lewis & Clark National Historic Trail Experience

Salmon, Idaho now has a live page on the LCNHT website! We still need to add more attractions (restaurants, accommodations, outfitters, retailers, etc.). This is a FREE opportunity for your business to be showcased on this website. Please contact us if you’re interested in being added. 

ID Conference on Recreation & Tourism (ICORT)

Virtual Workshops from ID Commerce

 This year, Idaho Tourism is hosting a series of online workshops tailored to helping destination marketing organizations and tourism businesses create a roadmap to recovery and stability. Workshops will be facilitated by Coraggio Group, a travel and tourism consulting agency based in Portland, Oregon, that provides strategic insights to tourism organizations at every scale- from rural communities such as Visit Casper and Visit Mendocino County to metropolitan destinations, state tourism agencies and tourism attractions. 

Who Should Attend? This workshop is designed for destination marketing organizations and tourism-related businesses in Idaho — from restaurants, hotels, breweries and wineries to retail stores, museums and any attraction who interacts with and engages Idaho’s many visitors. 

Cost – $199 for up to three people from one organization/business or $99 per person.  

Workshop Schedule

    • Session 1: Thursday, Oct. 1 — 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. MDT (8:30-11:30 a.m. PDT)
    • Session 2: Thursday, Oct. 8 — 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. MDT (8:30-11:30 a.m. PDT)
    • Session 3: Thursday, Oct. 15 — 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. MDT (8:30-11:30 a.m. PDT)
    • Session 4: Thursday, Oct. 22 — 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. MDT (8:30-11:30 a.m. PDT)

Attendees will be grouped into the following four breakout clusters:

    • Breakout 1: Regions 1 & 2 
    • Breakout 2: Region 3 
    • Breakout 3: Regions 4 & 7 
    • Breakout 4: Regions 5 & 6
