Coming Together through Tough Times

March was a whirlwind of a month for everyone. We as a Chamber are striving to do our best to support our Members and our community through the COVID-19 crisis. As uncertainty continues to circulate, we will continue to adapt in whatever way that we can. Please know that we appreciate all of you and your collective efforts to make safe and sound decisions.

As of March 17th the Chamber office will be closed. Staff will be working remotely from home under regular business hours (10am-3pm Tuesday & Wednesday) and is available via email info@salmonvalleychamber.com or by calling (208) 742-1800

The GSV Chamber has been working hard to provide important information and resources to our Members and community during these tough times. We realize that every small businesses in Lemhi County is in need of help.

We strongly suggest that you research the Paycheck Protection Program through the Small Business Association website. The sooner you get started on this, the better! Please click the button below for more information.

This is also an extremely difficult time to plan your next course of action. The Chamber created a resource for ideas that you might find useful. Please view them here.

Resources you should take advantage of:

    1. Signing up online for for a FREE consulting session with the Idaho Small Business Development Center.
    2.
    3. FREE Thursday Teleconferences with ID SBDC for next three weeks, April 2nd, 9th, and 16th. Sign up for either a morning (10:30 am-12:00 pm) or afternoon session (1:30 pm-3:00 pm). As there is limited teleconference capacity, it is required, to PRE-REGISTER to reserve your space/virtual seat each week. Go here to register, and select region VI.
    4.
    5. There will also be weekly Service Updates every Wednesday. Find them on this page under the title “SBDC Service Update” and get registered.

Amidst the chaos, The Chamber and a group of volunteers have come together to form the Local Business Support Team. We’ve been busy creating this google spreadsheet for everyone! In the spreadsheet you will find a complete list of grocery stores, restaurants, health care services, hardware services, retail, laundry and much more! Keep in mind that this resource is a work in progress. We will do our best to update it regularly, but if we missed something, please let us know.

View the Business Status Spreadsheet here.

We unfortunately had to postpone our Salmon River Days public planning meeting to a later date which has not been rescheduled yet. We will continue to work together as a board to plan SRD’s, and brainstorm ways to include everyone who wishes to be involved. Please stay tuned for more information.
